In Reading Boots Episode 012, you and your child will learn how to play the Exclamation Point Game. In this during reading strategy, you and your child will find exclamation points throughout the book. Whenever you find one, you and your child will transform into magic painters and will get out imaginary paint brushes to paint invisible exclamation points in the air.
By pointing out, air painting, talking about exclamation points, and modeling reading with expression, your child will understand the importance and purpose of exclamation points. Your child’s understanding of punctuation marks will help him/her become a more independent reader. Your child will love becoming an exclamation point painter!
