Alphabet Puzzle | Episode 065

In Reading Boots Episode 065, I share a fun After Reading Strategy called Alphabet Puzzle. You’ll read an alphabet book aloud to your child, then practice letters and sounds with a puzzle.

This activity will require a little prep work. You’ll need an ABC book, puzzle, and marker. You’ll write letters on the back of the puzzle pieces and on the corresponding spots on the puzzle board. After you read the book aloud with your child, you will turn the puzzle over and take turns matching the letter on the back of the puzzle piece with the letter on the board.

Alphabet Puzzle is a fun and beneficial activity because it helps your child practice letter identification and letter sound recognition in a hands-on way. Your child will love matching the letters on the puzzle after reading an alphabet book!
