In Reading Boots Episode 026, you will learn a fun before reading strategy called Interesting Object. In Interesting Object, you will show your child an object that connects to the book in some way. You will ask your child why he/she thinks the object will be in the book.

Showing your child an object before reading the book aloud creates excitement, interest, and curiosity about the book that you will read. Children love touching and manipulating tangible objects. Using the Interesting Object Strategy also allows your child to make connections with the book and allows him/her to see the ordinary object in an unusual way.
